Who Should Choose a 30-Day Dubai Visa?
The 30-day visa is the right choice when your whole trip fits within one month. It's the best fit for:
Holidays of 4–21 days: city sightseeing, a desert safari, theme parks and beaches
Short family visits to relatives living in the UAE
Events and exhibitions, such as Expo City events, GITEX, the Dubai Shopping Festival and concerts
Short business meetings where you won't be working or getting paid in the UAE
If your stay might go past 30 days, choose the 60-day tourist visa from the start. It's usually cheaper than extending a 30-day visa and avoids overstay risk. Indian, Filipino, Jordanian and Turkish passport holders can also look at the 90-day leisure visa.

Single Entry or Multiple Entry?
Single entry: you enter the UAE once. When you leave, the visa ends, even if you haven't used all 30 days. This suits most holidays.
Multiple entry: you can leave and come back while the visa is valid. Choose this if you're doing a side trip to Oman, flying on to another country and returning through Dubai, or travelling for work more than once.
Documents Required for a 30-Day Dubai Visa
Passport copy: a clear colour scan of the bio page, valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.
Photograph: a recent colour photo with a white background and no glasses. See the Dubai visa photo specifications.
Some nationalities may also be asked for a return ticket, a hotel booking, a national ID, or a residence permit if you're applying from a third country. The online form shows only the documents your nationality needs.

When Does the 30 Days Start?
The 30 days start on the day you enter the UAE, not the day the visa is issued. You must enter within the entry period printed on the visa (usually about 2 months from issue). For example, if the visa is issued on 1 November and you land on 20 November, you can stay until 19 December.
Can You Extend a 30-Day Dubai Visa?
Yes. A 30-day tourist visa can usually be extended once from inside the UAE without leaving the country. Apply at least 5 working days before the visa expires. Overstaying results in a daily fine and can affect future visa applications. See our Dubai visa extension guide.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Booking a non-refundable flight before the visa is approved
Choosing single entry when your plans include a trip out of the UAE and back
Planning a 32-day trip on a 30-day visa. Count the days, including the day you arrive and the day you leave.
Using the visa to work. A tourist visa doesn't allow any paid work in the UAE.
