Express Dubai Visa (2026): Get Your UAE Visa in 24–48 Hours

Quick answer: An express Dubai visa is a priority UAE tourist visa that Kite Star Tourism usually processes in 24–48 hours, compared with 2–4 working days for a standard visa. Use it when your flight is less than 7 days away, or when an emergency means you have to travel sooner than planned. You need the same documents as a normal visa: a clear colour passport copy (valid for at least 6 months) and a passport-style photo with a white background. Express makes processing faster, but it can't fix missing documents, and it doesn't guarantee approval.

Last updated: October 2026. Express timelines are Kite Star Tourism's service targets for complete applications, not a UAE government guarantee. Apply on the express visa page.

What Is an Express Dubai Visa?

An express Dubai visa is not a different type of visa. It's the same 30-day or 60-day tourist visa, with your application handled on a priority basis. Our visa desk checks your documents first, submits them to UAE immigration as fast as possible, and follows up until the e-visa is issued.

The visa you receive is identical to a standard one. It gives you the same length of stay, the same entry rules and the same conditions. The only things that change are the speed and the price.

When Should You Use an Express Dubai Visa?

Choose express when the time left before your flight is shorter than, or very close to, the standard processing time. These are the most common reasons travellers choose it:

  • Your flight is within 7 days and you don't have a visa yet.

  • A family emergency, such as a relative's illness, a funeral or the birth of a grandchild in the UAE.

  • A last-minute business meeting, trade show or conference in Dubai. (A tourist visa covers meetings, not paid work.)

  • Your plans changed, and you need to travel earlier than you had planned.

  • You found a cheap last-minute flight or a Dubai holiday package that leaves in a few days.

  • A previous application was rejected for a fixable reason (such as a bad photo), and your travel date is now close.

  • You forgot a family member's visa. This happens more often than you'd think, especially with children. See do children need a Dubai visa?

Which Option Fits Your Travel Date?

Use this table to decide in seconds. Count working days (Monday to Friday), not calendar days, because UAE government processing slows down at weekends and on public holidays.

When Express Isn't Worth It

Express costs more, so don't pay for speed you don't need:

  • Your trip is two or more weeks away. A standard visa will arrive in time.

  • You qualify for the 90-day leisure visa. Indian, Filipino, Jordanian and Turkish passport holders can apply for the 90-day leisure Dubai visa, which already includes same-day submission and next-day approval.

  • You may not need a visa in advance. Some nationalities can get a visa on arrival, and Indian passport holders with certain valid US, UK or EU visas or residence permits may also qualify. Check Dubai visa on arrival first.

  • Express Dubai Visa Requirements

The documents are the same as for a standard tourist visa. Because express depends on speed, getting them right the first time matters even more.

    • Passport copy: a clear colour scan of the photo page, valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, with the two lines of code at the bottom (the MRZ) fully visible.

    • Passport photo: recent, with a white background, front-facing, without glasses or shadows. See the Dubai visa photo size and specifications.

    • Your travel date, so we can prioritise correctly.

    • Any extra document the form asks for, depending on your nationality and the country you live in. You can check this on the Dubai visa page.

A confirmed return ticket and hotel booking aren't always needed to apply, but you may be asked for them when you check in or arrive. If you haven't booked yet, you can arrange a flight and hotel with us at the same time.

How to Apply for an Express Dubai Visa (Step by Step)

    1. Open the express visa page.

    2. Select your nationality and the country you live in. Your options and price depend on both.

    3. Choose a 30-day or 60-day visa. If you're not sure how long you'll stay, choosing the longer visa now is cheaper than extending later.

    4. Enter each traveller's details exactly as printed in the passport. Every traveller, including babies, needs their own application.

    5. Upload a sharp passport scan and a white-background photo.

    6. Pay online and add your flight date and time in the remarks field.

    7. Keep your phone and email close by. Track your application on the Track Visa page.

What Happens After You Apply: The Express Timeline

    1. Hour 0: you pay and upload your documents.

    2. Within working hours: our desk checks the passport scan, photo and spelling. If something needs fixing, we contact you straight away by email or WhatsApp.

    3. Same working day: your complete application is submitted to UAE immigration as a priority.

    4. Within 24–48 hours: most express visas are approved, and the e-visa is emailed to you as a PDF.

    5. Longer for some profiles: extra security checks can add time. We'll keep you updated, and you can also check your status with the Dubai visa status check by passport number.

7 Ways to Make Sure Your Express Visa Isn't Delayed

    1. Scan the passport flat, in daylight, with no glare, fingers or cropped edges.

    2. Use a proper passport photo, not a selfie or a photo cut out of a group picture.

    3. Type your name exactly as the passport prints it, in the same order, with no nicknames.

    4. Apply early in UAE working hours (Monday to Friday, Dubai time, GMT+4) so we can submit it the same day.

    5. Mention any previous UAE visa, overstay or refusal in the remarks. Hiding it causes much bigger delays later.

    6. Check that your passport has 6+ months of validity and at least one blank page before you pay.

    7. Reply quickly if we email or WhatsApp you. Most express delays happen while we're waiting for an answer.

    What Express Can't Do

    • It can't guarantee approval. UAE immigration makes the final decision. To lower your risk, read UAE tourist visa rejection: how to avoid it.

    • It can't fix a passport valid for less than 6 months.

    • It can't skip security checks, which can take longer for some profiles.

    • It can't speed up processing on UAE public holidays, such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and UAE National Day, when government services may pause.

    • It can't override nationality restrictions. Check the UAE visa ban countries list if you're unsure.

If your flight is within 24 hours, call or WhatsApp our desk before you pay, so we can tell you whether it can realistically be done in time.

Common Mistakes on Urgent Dubai Visa Applications

    • Applying on a Friday evening for a Monday flight. The weekend is two days without government processing. Apply before Friday midday, or choose an earlier submission window.

    • Booking non-refundable flights before the visa is issued. If you can, choose a flexible fare until your e-visa arrives.

    • Submitting duplicate applications with other agencies "just in case". Duplicate files can cause delays or refusals.

    • Choosing 30 days when you'll need more. If your plans could stretch, choose 60 days, or plan ahead with the guide on extending your UAE visit visa without leaving the country.

    • Planning to work on a tourist visa. An express tourist visa is still a tourist visa. Job seekers should read about the UAE job seeker visa instead.

Is the Express Dubai Visa Single or Multiple Entry?

Most express tourist visas are single entry, the same as the standard visa you choose. If you plan to leave the UAE and come back during the same trip (for example, to visit Oman), look at a multiple entry option instead. Our guide to the UAE multiple entry tourist visa explains the cost and who's eligible.

After Your Express Visa Is Approved

    1. Check the e-visa straight away: the name, passport number, nationality and validity dates must match your passport exactly.

    2. Save a copy on your phone and print one for check-in. Some airlines ask to see a paper copy.

    3. Enter the UAE before the entry deadline shown on the visa. Your stay starts on the day you arrive.

    4. Book your airport transfer so a driver is waiting when you land. Compare options in our Dubai airport taxi and transfers guide.

    5. Plan your days: browse Dubai activities or book an evening desert safari. Travelling between November and March? See things to do in Dubai in winter.
