Dubai Visa for Jordanians 2026: Requirements, Fees & Process

Quick answer: Jordanian citizens with an ordinary passport need a UAE tourist visa arranged before travel. There's no visa on arrival for ordinary Jordanian passports. You can apply online for a 30-day, 60-day or 90-day visa with a passport copy and a photo, and you don't need to visit the UAE Embassy in Amman. Jordan is one of four nationalities on Kite Star Tourism's 90-day leisure visa: complete applications are submitted the same day, and approval usually comes the next day.
Do Jordanians Need a Visa for Dubai?
Yes. Jordan isn't on the UAE's visa-free or visa-on-arrival list, so ordinary Jordanian passport holders need a visa approved before boarding. Airlines check this at check-in at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman, at Aqaba, or wherever you fly from, and they won't board you without a valid UAE e-visa.
The visa is fully electronic. Once it's approved you receive a PDF e-visa by email. There's no stamp or sticker to collect, and no embassy appointment.
Your situation | What you need |
|---|---|
Ordinary Jordanian passport, living in Jordan | A pre-arranged UAE tourist e-visa (30, 60 or 90 days) |
Jordanian living in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman or Bahrain | A UAE tourist e-visa. Set your GCC country as your residence and upload your residence permit if asked. |
Jordanian with a valid US visa or green card, or a UK or EU residence permit | May qualify for a UAE visa on arrival. The rule depends on the document's validity, so check with us before relying on it. |
Jordanian with a valid UAE residence visa | No tourist visa needed |
Diplomatic, special or service passport | Different rules may apply. Check before you travel. |

Which visa should you choose?
A week or two of shopping, a wedding or a short holiday? The 30-day visa is usually the cheapest choice.
Visiting a son, daughter or sibling who works in the UAE? The 60-day or 90-day visa gives you time to settle in without extending or leaving and re-entering.
Spending the summer or both Eids with family? The 90-day leisure visa covers the whole stay on one application and has the fastest posting time on our desk.
Flight in less than a week? Choose the express visa, or the 90-day visa if the longer stay suits you.
Your permitted stay counts from your date of entry into the UAE, not from the day the visa is issued. You must enter before the entry deadline printed on the e-visa, which is usually within 58–60 days of issue.
Documents Required for Jordanians
For most Jordanian applicants the list is short:
Passport copy: a clear colour scan of the Jordanian passport bio page, valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. All four corners must be visible, with no glare on the photo, the national number or the two machine-readable lines at the bottom.
Photograph: recent, in colour, with a white background, face fully visible and a neutral expression. A headscarf is fine as long as your whole face, from the hairline to the chin, can be seen. See the photo specifications.
Depending on your profile, the form may also ask for:
Residence permit (iqama) copy: if you live outside Jordan, for example in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar or Oman.
Previous UAE visa or residence cancellation papers: if you've lived or worked in the UAE before.
Supporting documents for children: such as a birth certificate or the family book, when a child travels with one parent or with relatives.
Passports without a national number
Some Jordanian passports are issued without a national number (الرقم الوطني), for example temporary passports. UAE immigration can assess these differently from standard passports. If your passport has no national number, message us before you pay so we can tell you whether an application is likely to go through.
Name Spelling: The Most Common Issue for Jordanian Applicants
Arabic names can be written in English in several ways (Mohammad, Mohammed or Muhammad; Abdallah or Abdullah; Al-Khatib or Alkhatib). UAE immigration matches your application against the passport, so a small difference can cause a correction request or a visa that doesn't match at check-in. For your UAE visa:
Use the exact English spelling printed in your passport, not the spelling on your social media, an old ticket or a previous visa.
Enter all name parts in the same order as the passport, including the father's and grandfather's names if they're printed.
Keep prefixes such as "Al" or "El" exactly as printed, joined or separate, with or without a hyphen.
If you've renewed your passport and the spelling changed, apply with the new passport and mention the old spelling in the remarks. A visa issued on an old passport doesn't transfer to a new one.

Dubai Visa Processing Time for Jordanians
Stage | Typical time |
|---|---|
Document check by our desk | A few hours on working days |
Standard 30/60-day visa decision | 2–4 working days |
90-day leisure visa | Submitted same day, approval usually next day |
Express visa | 24–48 hours |
The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday, and processing can pause on UAE public holidays, including Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Some profiles go through extra security checks, which can add a few days. Apply at least 2–3 weeks before Eid and the summer holidays, when demand is highest.
When to Choose the 90-Day Leisure Visa
Many Jordanian families visit relatives in the UAE for long stretches, especially around Ramadan and Eid, the school summer break and family weddings. The 90-day leisure visa covers these trips with one application, so you don't need a 30-day visa plus extensions or a trip out of the country and back.
Who it suits: parents visiting children who work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah; families spending the summer; anyone who wants maximum time on one visa.
What it's for: leisure and family visits only. It doesn't allow employment or residence.
Why it's faster: Jordan is one of only four nationalities (with India, the Philippines and Turkey) on this product, and complete files are posted the same day.
Visiting Family in the UAE
If you're staying with a relative rather than in a hotel, the UAE tourist visa doesn't need the relative to sponsor you. You apply in your own name through us. It still helps to:
Carry your host's address in the UAE and a phone number where they can be reached.
Keep a copy of your host's Emirates ID and passport, in case an airline or immigration officer asks where you're staying.
Make sure your return date on the ticket falls inside your visa period.
If your relative would rather sponsor you directly on a family visit visa, that's a different process, done through their own UAE residence file.
Travel Tips for Jordanians Visiting Dubai
Flights: direct flights from Amman (AMM) to Dubai take about 3–3.5 hours, with Royal Jordanian, Emirates, flydubai and others. Some flights land at Sharjah (SHJ) instead of Dubai, which is about 30–45 minutes from central Dubai by road. Compare fares on our flight search.
Peak dates: fares and visa demand rise before Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and the summer. Book and apply early.
At check-in: have the e-visa printed and saved on your phone.
Money: Jordanian dinars aren't widely used in Dubai. Carry some UAE dirhams (AED) or a card that works abroad. Exchange houses at the airport and in malls give fair rates.
Getting around: book your airport transfer, hotel and activities once your visa is approved.
Help in the UAE: the Embassy of Jordan in Abu Dhabi and the Jordanian Consulate General in Dubai assist Jordanian nationals with lost passports and emergencies.
Arriving in Dubai and Staying Legally
At the airport: carry the printed e-visa, your return ticket and your hotel or host address. Immigration may scan your eyes or face and take your fingerprints.
Count your days: your stay starts on your entry date. Note your exit deadline as soon as you land.
Overstaying: UAE immigration charges daily fines for every day past your visa, and overstaying can lead to a ban. Leave on time or extend before the visa ends.
Extensions: some tourist visas can be extended from inside the UAE (see Dubai visa extension). Message us at least a week before your visa expires.
No work: a tourist visa doesn't allow you to work, even for a trial period. You can attend job interviews, but your employer must issue an employment visa before you start. See Dubai tourist visa is not a work visa.
What Slows Down a Jordanian Application
A name spelling that differs from the passport, or a missing father's or grandfather's name
A passport valid for less than 6 months
A passport scan that's cropped, dark or has glare on the details
A photo that isn't a proper passport-style photo, or a face partly covered
A previous UAE overstay, absconding case, unused visa or refusal that wasn't mentioned
An old UAE residence visa that was never cancelled
If you've had a UAE visa rejected before, tell us before applying, and we'll check what probably caused it. See also how to avoid a UAE tourist visa rejection.
